I have just followed the link, and on paper it all seems very fair to me. I have recently passed the Works Capability Tests, and what I would say is that these new benefits come down t one how you fill the forms in and two the supporting evidence, something I supplied lots of. Anyone who is worried about filling out new forms for these forth coming changes please seek the help of those trained in such affairs or contact the likes of BLF. BY the way Hypercat haven't forgotten what I promised, haven't been too great the last couple of days. so taking a little longer.

Yes Daxiemad I agree it sounds ok on paper. but I cant see it being much different from DLA except there will be less people able to claim.

And being the cynic I am Im sure its mainly just to save money! x

Oh and no worries about what you promised. Just grateful that you said you would do it. Take your time and thank you. Hope you soon be feeling better xx

12 years on disability, basically 1 lung, after Tuberculosis,Double pneumonia, broken ribs, chronic pain, pleurisy, morphine 24/7, antidepressants x 2 . DLA, Mobility, I have mobility car.Dont see GP unless to increase pain meds, wont get better ever, now panicking, slipping back into depression, become a recluse again cos of these pip rules and the inadequacy of atos or any government to have a slightly sensible operation. Rely on non medical money savers for life support, now severely worried

So sorry Catel - you sound in quite a bad state. I have read up on PIP and as far as I can see you have little to worry about. Your state of health, would I feel, make you eligible for it. As far as I can gather the people who lose out are the ones like me who get lower rate DLA for care as they are stopping the lower rate altogether. The information said that there will be more money available for people with more severe health problems. From what you have said it looks like you will be ok.

Please don't become a recluse love despite your health problems. I understand about depression and you can PM me anytime.

There are lots of brill people on this site who will care and support you so just blog or ask a question anytime and I'm sure you will get lots of help.

All the best.

Bev xx
