The Other Dragon

Isn't it time The Other Dragon came back? Her 'crime' hardly compares to those of some of the Pr*ts that have been performing on here for years. Strikes me that the ones who ignore the rules of any type of good manners remain as long as THEY want and the ones who merely fall out with someone get permanently banned. It was one of the BLF people who said it's 'okay to disagree' wasn't it?

I think it would be good if she wanted to come back but she would have to be on her guard as the ph's are bound to try and provoke her again, so she would have to ignore and report them instead of rising to the bait and not give them any satisfaction.

Did not know The Other Dragon but with a name like that I bet she had some good opinions and I know that after my hiccup when I first joined someone somewhere will always get upset about something. Surely going from the comments above her sentence should be over by now. I was once thrown off another Forum because I said something contentious and was accused of bullying but the other Forum users asked the moderator to read back through the comments and my ban was lifted could the same not apply here?

I agree she should come back. I think part of the problem is that she was convinced a regular poster on here was a troll, and they are not. ;(

Would such a person want a return if unable to move on from past problems ?

Maybe the other dragon has moved to another site where she feels more comfortable. I see Puff drops in. I remember her as being upset about something but didn't know what. I wish I had emoticons, because they can prevent people taking remarks the wrong way. I get sensitive quite easily myself. Annie80 x

I'll ask her.

I will explain something if that's ok. We had a troll on anther forum who apparently had a lot of illnesses, and I mean a lot, and many of us were offering our sympathies when she got bad. Sometimes it got quite emotional when she had to go in hospital for an " operation " and such. We eventually joined a private forum she had set up to talk about her problems. After 4 years of this we found out she was lying about everything. You can imagine how we all felt about it, TheOtherDragon felt that a similar situation was happening here and felt obliged to tell other members. Rightly or wrongly she done it for the BLF members. I hope that puts things into perspective. She appreciates your kindness.

I must admit that I do get confused on here with all the messages being deleted and trolls etc. I enjoy reading blogs and if there is healthy debate then good, bring it on, just so long as people don't get upset by things. It is not always easy to get things right as the written word does not come across in the same way as the spoken word. I do remember a bit about TheOtherDragon but it would be good to have her back sometime if that is what she would like. This is a good site and on the whole everyone gets along just fine. I would not be without BLF or healthunlocked because I did feel isolated as a carer but no longer feel that way thanks to all you great people out there. Take care. xxxxx

I think that it should be remembered that TOD caused a great deal of upset on more than one occasion to a member at a time when they needed help and support and did not keep to the spirit and rules of the forum. I personally don't have any problem with TOD but I think the view of the person they upset so badly should be sought and TOD needs to agree to stick to the rules in future. We're supposed to be on this forum to support each other and personally that's all I want - day to day life is hard enough , let's not make it any harder.

This blog isn't about the rights or wrongs of what TOD did. My point is that there are plenty on here who have caused far more upset, accused people of worse things, and they're still here... And their victims have not been asked their wishes. Absolutely agree with you about supporting each other and life being hard enough - but TOD did give a lot of support and she's the Carer of someone who is ill.

Would add that I'm not in touch with TOD, don't know her opinion and don't know her outside of this forum.

Sorry, Fusion, just read that first sentence, I didn't mean it to sound as abrupt as it does. I should have added that that aspect had already been discussed and I think I was clear that I didn't support the event at the time.

I doubt if she will bother coming back. I see Zoee has left now. I even get told by the mods not to put links to American articles because this is the UK. Surely it doesn't matter where tests and suchlike are being done in the world ?
