I'm afraid not. The only problem I get with COPD is short of breathe.

Hi carolg1,

I have the same problem with the skin sore to touch, but not in the ribs area.

Mine is all over.arms, legs in particular.

I too have copd,so maybe there is a connection.

Xxxx

Im sure there probably is but the question is what causes it and how do we get relief , is it just something else we have to grin and bear ?? thanks for replying x

Looking into an issue for my wife and saw your 2 yer old post. You are describing neuropathy and Deep vein thrombosis

Hi gibberish I will look that up, my problem isn't as bad with the numbness pain etc under my bottom ribs it comes n goes ! But I will check up the neuropathy and deep vein ! They don't sound good !! Thanks take care x

I often get this when I have been on or just finished a high course of steroids, it eventualy goes but is a real pain ,at the time, not much we could do about it I get it in other parts of the body too.

So glad to have come across this — just finished a course of amoxicillin and displayed the same symptoms a few days later. Didn’t know what it was! Thank you

Hi Carol I had this last year, (Pre COPD diagnosis) at first the gp thought it was shingles . Then said it wasn't and sent me off with an aspirin.

It was agony and lasted a few weeks. I think somebody else posted about this a few months ago. I am positive it is a COPD problem. Sorry I have no solutions just sympathy. Linda X

I have empysema and diabetes 2. My skin is very sensitive to touch. I cannot bear anything around my waist. A belt or close fitting, not tight, waistband is very uncomfortable.

I also get a feeling like a tight band around my midriff. It happens with or without a bra.

At times I have stayed awake all night as I cannot get comfortable.

Just being touched is uncomfortable for me at times. I also have trigeminal neuralgia which drives me nuts.

Thanks Azure, Im just the same my midriff section and under my ribs I can always feel the discomfort, just something else to add to our moans and groans this awful disease is not for the faint hearted, take care Carol x
